I grew up near the sea where I learned to read the waters and fished inshore/offshore following my grandfather & father starting at 4 years old, casting spinning reels in the marsh, as well as bottom fishing on ship wrecks, oyster reefs & offshore oil platforms.
My heritage is of Cajun descent of south Louisiana one hour south of New Orleans in south Plaquemines Parish. Now you know where the name comes from “New Orleans de Panama”.
After fishing the Pacific coast of Panama for over a decade now, I am well versed in the local fishing knowledge of this area and specialize in fishing variable trolling techniques of 6 lines over underwater mountain range shelves, lava & coral reefs.
I have fished many countries while visiting the islands of the Caribbean Sea & Bahamas, Costa Rica, Colombia, Hawaii and Panama now for 20 years.
It’s truly an adventure within a pristine unspoiled setting.
The knowledge of reading the waters, currents, rip lines and drifts is easy. Setting the hook and hanging on is the key. We invite you to come display your hook setting tactics & hang on. At days end relax beach side beneath tropical palms witnessing local surfers as the setting sun gives way to a bountiful days fishing.
New Orleans de Panama thrives on entertaining our clientele fishing along with many other attractions of the natural while on the “Tuna Coast”. We specialize in fishing for big game species like sailfish, marlin, tuna, dorado, wahoo.
Our team is made up of once local commercial fishermen & others that know the area for deep sea fishing and local tours, including mountain, river & jungle or whatever may be on your agenda.
